yesterday's flag day was one of a kind.
a guy didn't want to donate and walked off.
i said thank you to him.
then later he came back from 7-11 and dropped 50cents into the tin and said:
'for saying thank you so loudly!'
took a sticker and walked off.
but singaporeans are just so miserly.
they dig out this huge handful of coins.
then they pick the smallest coin to drop into the tin.
just so that they can get a sticker and not donate again.
some of them say they have no change.
time and time again.
i was tempted to say notes were gladly welcome.
but for the sake of out school's reputation.
and its soo amusing that they stick the sticker so proudly on their chest as if they just gave away half their fortune.
duael wasn't that bad.
it was quite good really.
too bad gary's leaving nanyang.
so will i but oh well.
i'll miss nanyang after all the o level nonsense they've been shoving at us.
